Computer Center

Jag Engineering Inc. uses computing power to produce profits. We prefer the Macintosh operating system. We use Macs for virtually all our office work and some of our CAD. We find the MacOS easier to use, train and maintain. We are currently running three Power Macintosh 6100/60's and one Power Macintosh 8100/80. Our CNC Milling Machine is Drip-Fed by one of the 6100/60's. We store all Mac and PC files related to your job on CDR media for permanent archive.

We also have two Intel PCs. One is a Dual Intel Pentium Pro 200 Ultra-Wide SCSI Box by Tri-Star running Windows NT Server 4.0. (Running server, using services for Macintosh, we are able to see the Intel boxes from any of our Macs on the shop network.) The other is a single Pentium Pro/128mb workstation. We run Surfcam 7.0 and Solidworks 97 plus (Solid Modeler) on these machines. We render with Photoworks, a Solidworks add-on using an ELSA GLoria-L 16mb 3D Graphic Accelerator Card. Solidworks is Multi-Threaded for Windows NT and utilizes the dual processor setup with 128mb of EDO RAM.
